Karen did a fabulous job shepherding my wife and I through the home buying process. We previously worked with two other agents, but neither were as professional, hardworking and pleasant as Karen. Karen is not new at this. She knows her stuff and while helping us become first-time homebuyers she frequently relied on her two decades of experience to provide top-notch service, dogged attention to detail and accurate information. We pushed her hard and she was always quick with an answer or excited to learn something new as she figured it out for us and relayed her findings. When there were no listings to view because sellers were out of their damn minds asking crazy prices for pieces of garbage in terrible neighborhoods, Karen helped us tweak our search parameters to brighten our spirits, reinvigorate us with hope, and keep us moving in the right direction. She more than once said, “Your home is out there. We’ll find it.” When we were frustrated with seller’s agents that had no idea what they were doing, Karen gently coached them along, so that they could become better agents, and we could get better information about an interesting property. Not only was she helping us, but she was helping others in her profession. Not many people take that approach to their career. Way to go, Karen. We know that Karen worked hard behind the scenes for us and did more than just set up a listings drip and forget we existed. Weeding through the trash was a lot of work for the three of us as we all worked together to find our new house. On more than one occasion she sent us personal emails or text messages about properties she thought we would like. She was able to do this because she listened to our lists of wants and needs and in the course of her normal day-to-day was always on the lookout for us. Eventually her diligence paid off. She found us a great house with an insanely big back yard in a lovely master planned community. We feel like we got super lucky on the property we ended up buying, but I know that luck favors the ones that put in the work. Thankfully my wife and I weren’t the only ones putting in the work. Karen was too, and we’re glad she was always working hard for us so that when the right one came along we wouldn’t miss it. Karen put us in touch with other great professionals as well. The lender she works with was fantastic. The handyman she pointed us to (that we’d later hire for some minor repairs after closing) was terrific. Her inspector also did a fine job. Thank you, Karen, for being a fantastic help to us in our home buying experience. We’re happy to have worked with you and will come to you again if and when it’s time to buy or sell in the future.
